A taster of some of John’s current projects
The ‘Winerack’ Ipswich Waterfront
As Managing Director of Ipswich Wharf Developments Ltd, John’s most recent acquisition has been the symbolic partly completed waterfront development “The Winerack” on the prestigious Ipswich marina. The intention is to complete the scheme to comprise 147 contemporary residential apartments and three ground floor commercial units.
The scheme will be the first of it’s kind in the region to incorporate a significant car park ‘stacker system’ for 264 vehicles.
With the development being granted retrospective planning approval by the Ipswich Borough Council, works are due to commence at the end of 2015 with an approximate 2-3 year final completion period.
Seven Stars, Knowl Hill near Maidenhead
Acquisition, planning and development of Grade II former pub, coach house and barn near Maidenhead.
St Giles, Norwich
Former YMCA in the city of Norwich. Purchase and planning obtained for luxury apartments in 18,000 sq ft Grade II* building.
Devonian Court, Brighton
Apartment scheme comprising 50 units arranged over two blocks in the centre of Brighton. Recent planning consent granted for further development to create 6 additional apartments by adding a further floor to the existing property plus full refurbishment of an existing apartment.
Thorndon, Suffolk
Conversion and new build development of residential scheme of 22 units. Former Conference Centre located to the West of the small Suffolk village of Thorndon. Planning has been approved and demolition has commenced.
Bideford, Devon
Currently working with the owner of the brownfield site to provide planning and subsequent build-out. Plans are proposed for 35 houses.
Gt Bromley, Essex
Recent acquisition of vacant public house for redevelopment within a few miles of Colchester, Essex. Application for Planning will be made in Spring 2016.
Bethal Street, Norwich
Conversion of 7 residential houses subject to planning will be the final phase of development in the Grade II* historical first purpose-built asylum in the country, which was opened in 1713.
Westerfield, Suffolk
A planning application has been made for a mixed scheme of 22 houses and bungalows in the sought after Suffolk village of Westerfield.
Carr Street, Ipswich
Planning application submitted for 33 First Time Buyer apartments in the locally Listed former Co Op offices in Ipswich Town centre. This project will form part of the regeneration of the area, along with the new school Academy being built adjacent for 650 pupils with work due to commence 2019 in the former Co Op Department Store.
In addition to the above projects, John also has a number of off-market deals which cannot be announced at this stage due to Confidentiality Agreements being signed.
